Some information and help with changing the lid switch assembly on a Frigidaire built top load washer... Lid switch assembly part# 134101800 replaces older switches 131675600, 3205646 & 131595100 Some installation tips.....
Free standing washer, ~ disconnect the washer from the electrical supply ~ raise and brace the top panel ~ disconnect the wire harness from the lid lock assembly ~ using a 1/8" drill bit, drill out the rivets securing the mounting bracket to the washer top panel and remove the original switch ( not all have rivets, some are just screws ) ~ remove and save the screws securing the lid lock switch to the mounting bracket ~ install the new lid lock switch using the previously removed screws
Laundry center washer, ~ disconnect the power from the electrical supply ~ remove the washer front panel and washer top panel ~ disconnect the wire harness from the lid lock switch ~ using a drill and a 1/8" bit, drill out the rivets securing the mounting bracket to the washer top panel and remove the original switch and bracket ( not all have these rivets ) ~ remove and save the screws securing the lid lock switch to the mounting bracket ~ install the new lid lock switch assembly using the previously removed screws. On some models, a 1/2" O.D. washer may be required to secure one of the screws to the top panel. Note: Some original lid lock switch assembly's had an additional switch to operate the consol light. This type of assembly is no longer available. When replacing this type with a light switch, cut and tape off the ends of the two light switch leads. The light can still be operated using the consol switch.
