LG Microwave Fault Codes


An error code on your microwave usually means a technician is going to need to take a look at it. However, it could just be that you need to cycle the power on and off and see if the error returns. And if you're wondering what the code on your microwave means, the list below should help.

To try to clear an error code, unplug the microwave or turn it off at the circuit breaker for 60 seconds. If it's possible that moisture in the microwave's electronics may be causing the error, give the microwave some time to dry.



Code Meaning Possible Cause
E-01 In Convection Mode - Thermistor is Short/Open, Yellow 2 Pin Connector has loose contact to the PCB, Thermistor Wire Cut Check Thermistor & replace if found faulty, Reconnect YL 2 pin Thermistor Connector
E-02 In Convection Mode Temperature does not rise to 100C in 10 minutes Check Convection Relay, Replace PCB if Relay not operating, Check Convection Heater, Replace Heater if faulty, Check Thermistor, Replace if faulty
E-03 In Cooling Mode, the temperature is above 100 deg even after Max. Time (30 Min) then Error E-03 is displayed Check Convection Relay, Replace PCB if Relay not operating, Check Convection Heater, Replace Heater if faulty, Check Thermistor, Replace if faulty
E-05 In Convection Mode, Temperature achieved is more than 70C and User has set temperature 40C which is less than current achieved temperature Cool Down the MWO and then Set Convection 40C
E-10 Key Short Check if any Key on the Panel/Membrane is Stuck or Short, replace key panel
F-01 In Convection cooking, if temperature does not reach above 100C in 10 minutes Check Thermistor, Replace if faulty
F-02 In Convection cooking mode, if Thermistor short more than 1 minute, then Error F-02 is displayed Check Thermistor, Replace if faulty
F-10 Key Short for more than 1 min Check if any Key on the Panel/Tactile is Stuck or Short
F-11 In Convection cooking mode, if temperature is above 100C even after maximum time (30 minutes) then error is displayed (Convection Fan ON/Suction Fan OFF) Check Convection Relay, Replace PCB if Relay not operating, Check Convection Heater, Replace Heater if faulty, Check Thermistor, Replace if faulty
F-14 In Fermentation (Convection 40C) feature mode, if temperature rise above 70C for more than 4 seconds Cool Down the MWO & then Set Convection 40C

F-16 Inverter heat sink error This could be the fan motor or inverter module assembly
F-13 Inverter over current This could be the inverter, inverters power AC, cable or connecting wires
F-14 Inverter over voltage This could be the inverter, inverters power AC, cable or connecting wires
F-15 Inverter over voltage This could be the inverter, inverters power AC, cable or connecting wires
F-19 Inverter Vdc protection This could be the inverter, inverters power AC, cable or connecting wires
