Icemakers have an adjustment to make minor or small water fill adjustments. After a fill valve has been replaced the water level should always be checked and possibly adjusted....

3 Common ice makers used today .....

For minor water filling adjustments, the front cover usually must be removed from the icemaker, usually a small flat screwdriver can be used to pry off the front cover.

This will adjust the water fill time a little more or a little less water fill time, it will NOT compensate for very low water pressure or huge over filling problems.

For very low water filling ( usually small or hollow cubes ) see the hollow cubes section.

For grossly over filling ice makers ( cubes all lumped together in the tray ) or for major over filling problems, see the water leaking section.

This is where the module style water adjustment is .....

Turning the set screw clockwise decreases the water fill. 1/2 turn = approx 20cc of water. No more than one full turn in either direction or damage to the module could occur.

This is where the regular/standard mechanical style icemaker water adjustment is....

The flex tray ice maker ( has a plastic ice cube body ) has an adjustable screw on the side of the head of the ice maker. See picture below for an example.
